Symposium Description

The symposium E1.1 is planned to demonstrate the extent to which X-ray spectra over a broad energy band (including low-energy gamma-rays) are contributing to the promotion of modern astronomy and astrophysics. Both spectral lines and continua will be covered, and both thermal and non-thermal processes will be discussed. The symposium is expected to particularly receive contributions from high-energy astronomy missions such as SAX, XTE, ASCA, ROSAT, and CGRO. The symposium will emphasize the role of spectroscopy, with the necessary minimum inclusion of related imaging and timing studies.

In order to make the 2-day symposium an efficient and fruitful one, we particularly encourage those works which attempt
