4th Science Working Group Meeting was held
The forth science working group meeting for Astro-E2 was held on November 11 and 12, 2003, at ISAS/JAXA. The participants were about 100 people from Japan and 35 people from USA and Europe. After the reports on the latest status of each subsystem, we discussed which cerestial objects we will observe for what scientific purpose. Scientists showed expected data (simulations) based on known results of each target and the performance of the instruments onboard Astro-E2. We also discussed the procedure of target selection and observation planning. The targets observed in the early phase will be decided at the next meeting scheduled to be held in March, 2004.
We will continuously work very hard to prepare for the launch in 2005, with great anticipation of exciting data.
